Welcome to PDFChat ("PDFChat", "we", "us", or "our"), an independent AI-powered service operated as a sole proprietorship under the laws of its jurisdiction of operation. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our AI-powered PDF question-answering service ("Service") available at https://pdfchat.tech.
By creating an account, subscribing to any plan, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you: (a) are at least 18 years of age; (b) have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms; (c) agree to our Privacy Policy; and (d) are authorized to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself or any organization you represent.
Important: If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. Continued use after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
PDFChat provides an AI-powered SaaS platform that enables users to upload PDF documents and receive AI-generated answers, summaries, and insights through natural language interactions.
The Service is a digital intangible product. Access is granted immediately upon payment confirmation. Due to the immediate delivery nature of digital services, refunds are subject to specific limitations described in Section 7.
The Service relies on third-party AI model providers, including Alibaba Cloud Qwen (qwen-long model) for document understanding and analysis. Service performance and availability may be affected by these providers' operational status. Significant disruptions will be communicated to users promptly.
Use of the Service requires creating an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all operations conducted under your account.
If you register on behalf of a company or organization, you declare that you are authorized to bind that entity to this agreement.
We offer subscription plans to access the Service. Current plan details and pricing are available at https://pdfchat.tech/pricing.
We reserve the right to modify plan features or introduce new plans at any time. Price changes are governed by Section 5.1.
5.1 Automatic Renewal Authorization. By providing a payment method and subscribing to a paid plan, you expressly authorize PDFChat to charge your payment method periodically for the corresponding subscription fee. This periodic authorization remains in effect until you cancel your subscription per Section 6.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled. For annual subscriptions, we will send a renewal notice in advance.
5.2 Taxes. Unless otherwise stated, all listed prices exclude applicable taxes (including VAT, GST, sales tax, etc.). Where required by law, we will collect and remit these taxes on your behalf.
6.1 How to Cancel. You may cancel your subscription at any time through either method:
Cancellation takes effect immediately. A confirmation email will be sent within 10 minutes.
6.2 Effect of Cancellation.
7.1 General Policy. Due to the immediate delivery nature of our digital service, subscription fees are generally non-refundable, except in the following cases:
7.2 How to Request a Refund. Send a refund request to refunds@pdfchat.tech with your account email and transaction ID. We will confirm receipt within 2 business days and process eligible refunds within 5–10 business days.
7.3 Non-Refundable Items.
If you believe a charge is erroneous, please contact us at billing@pdfchat.tech before initiating a dispute with your bank or payment provider. We commit to responding within 2 business days and resolving confirmed billing errors within 5 business days.
9.1 Output Content Ownership. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, AI-generated content ("Output Content") produced through your use of the Service belongs to you. You may use Output Content for any lawful purpose permitted under Section 10.
9.2 Input Content License. By submitting content to the Service ("Input Content"), you grant PDFChat a limited, non-exclusive license solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will not use your Input Content to train AI models without your explicit consent.
9.3 Third-Party AI Model Reliance. The Service uses third-party AI model providers, including Alibaba Cloud Qwen. Output Content may be influenced by these providers' models. We do not guarantee specific output quality and are not liable for content generated by third-party models.
9.4 AI Output Accuracy. AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or be outdated. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying output before relying on it. Do not use AI output for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice without independent verification by a qualified professional.
10.1 Permitted Use. You may only use the Service for lawful purposes consistent with these Terms, including personal productivity, business automation, research, and development activities. This Section summarizes the key rules; the full content policy is published in our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), which forms part of these Terms.

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://pdfchat.tech/privacy. Payment card data is processed exclusively by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor, Waffo Pancake, and is never stored on our servers. Account data is retained for 90 days after account cancellation, then deleted per our Privacy Policy.
12.1 As-Is Disclaimer. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or AI output accuracy.
12.2 AI Output Disclaimer. ⚠️ AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Do not use it for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. Always verify with a qualified professional before acting on AI output.
12.3 Liability Cap. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PDFChat is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
These Terms remain in effect for as long as you use the Service. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, are suspected of fraud, or are required to do so by law. If we terminate the Service for reasons not attributable to your breach, you will receive a prorated refund for any prepaid, unused period. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@pdfchat.tech.
These Terms are governed by the laws of applicable jurisdiction. Before initiating formal proceedings, please contact legal@pdfchat.tech to seek informal resolution. Unresolved disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in the jurisdiction where PDFChat is registered.
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated at least 14 days in advance via email or notice on our website. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain fully effective. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the complete agreement between you and PDFChat.
